Q. Is it possible for me to see some of your completed conversions?
Absolutely! We pride ourselves on our previously completed work, take a look through our gallery of photos to see some previous loft conversions.
Q. How long does it take to complete a loft conversion?
It really does depend on the size and the type of conversion you have, as a rough guide we normally estimate between 6 and 8 weeks. Dormer conversions usually take around 10-12 days longer than a Velux conversion.
Q. Will I need planning permission?
We will advise you when we survey your home if you require planning permission for your conversion and we will liaise on your behalf with any governing bodies such as your local council.
Q. Can all types of lofts be converted?
No, not all lofts can be converted, it depends on the height in your loft. You need to have not less than 8ft (2.4m) height in your existing loft). We will advise you when we visit your property what is feasible in the area you have.
Q. Are there different types of loft conversions?
Yes there are different types, Velux, Dormer, Mansard and Double Mansard, we will explain the differences to you when we visit your home and discuss what is best for your property.
Q. What will happen to the water tanks in my loft?
Plumbers are able to move your water tanks, and if need be install new ones.
Q. What happens to the loft hatch that is already there?
We will ensure your loft hatch is safely secured and plastered over.
Q. Do you dispose of the rubble and rubbish?
Yes we will provide a skip to dispose of all the rubbish taken from your home, this will be listed in your quote.
Q. How much will it cost?
After we have carried out an initial survey we will give you an estimate which will detail all the works to be carried out and a listing of detailed costs. It is important to note that it is an estimate but we will always let you know if we feel the costs may be higher.
Q. Are you covered by insurance when working on my property?
Ourselves and any other tradesman we use all have public liability insurance, giving you complete peace of mind.
